About Me
Hi, I'm StephanieÂ
Creator of
Media For MillennialsÂ
Â
Hi I’m Stephanie Aceglav from Media For Millennials. I’m a journalist, educator and entrepreneur who teaches media, social media, podcasting and journalism workshops. I have a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Journalism. I travel to high schools across Australia, including regional and rural areas to give students from all walks of life (including disadvantaged communities and Indigenous students) the opportunity to learn podcasting, media, journalism and social media skills. I encourage students to use this platform to voice issues that matter to them. All of my programs are inspired by my work as a journalist for networks including Prime 7 news, Radio 2SM, 89.3FM 2GLF and Fairfax. I also provide podcast training to the corporate sector and have worked with education providers including TAFE, the Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) program, the Educational Pathways Program (EPP) and St George and Sutherland Community College. I've also provided media training to businesses such as Headspace and Priceline Pharmacy. Â
One of my passions is teaching podcasting to the Deaf community. A Deaf podcast is a combination of video, captioning and Auslan. It’s important to me to break down barriers to make my work inclusive and accessible to everyone.
I host and produce my own podcast series “What You Didn’t Know.” Some of my guests include Sam Bloom and Phil Burton from Human Nature. Click on the 'Podcast' tab above to access all episodes for free.
I have also worked as the executive producer on a NSW government funded youth led podcast, which focuses on healthy relationships.Â
In addition to my journalism work, I enjoy creating digital social media content for brands and businesses. Keep an eye out on my socials for my workshops running during "Small Business Month" in October this year.Â
